I'm liking a LOT Tamiya's next release, the Tumbling Bull. I'm already making a tractor myself (a puller), but would consider getting one of these in the future since they're going for 105 bucks on Stella.

Only concern is, this chassis is known for the non-stop rollovers. How in the world the driver is supposed to stay glued and in one piece up there after the first run???

You see, even if you run it without the driver I'm sure the steering wheel won't be there before you finish the first pack!

The driver looks great for scale 4x4's.

Actually, that's the driver of the 1981 Tamiya 4x4 pick-up.

I really like the tractor, and was thinking it would look even better with the bruiser tires on the back and and some narrower, ribbed tires front.

I think a little brass tubing, a tubing bender, and some soldering could yield a nice roll cage for it.

I like the shell a lot; it brings back some very retro design cues. I like this one much more than the Farm King.

Well, rollcages are now parts of the rules of the sport, because there's been some terrible accidents.

Here's a real one, with the rollcage:

And here's some pictures of what can be done in terms of keeping the driver up there (no matter how many rollovers you might get when running it...) B)

Mongoose1983, the second to last photo in your post made me pause for a second -- I see dirt flying, but where's the driver?!!?!?!?! Then I realized it had to be an RC... Wow, it looks so realistic!

...and having in mind that RC4WD has just released some wheels and tires that seem to have been designed especially for this little beauty, plus the fact that these gearboxes are bulletproof...

I could see Jenny having some serious fun with this driver.... Inievitably he is going to get thrashed... It could be a gory fun mess!

What a great looking kit, it just looks like it will be a whole lot of fun.

Maybe a Wild Willy Stig style driver would look at home on this ride!

I wonder how hard it would be to fit axel extenders and matching wheels the same size as the rears all round ? I can see the makings of a JCB Fasttrac here just by changing the body for a Farm King body with a Cab .

Depending on which Fastrac you wish to take inspiration from, you may not have to change the wheels at all. Some, like this 8250, have smaller ones up front.

I don't really get why Tamiya has gone all agricultural.

Why not? New ideas keep 'cropping' up all the time there! Why not 'harvest' all the models you can on this theme?

I think the driver's head is just a little small - even the cowboy hat would make it look more in proportion, to me.

The Tamiya 4x4 driver figure as used in the Bruiser would look far more scale on this - an easy fix . Personally I can see both this and the Farm King being good sellers . Tamiya will have done their market research and ensured that there is enough interest worldwide before putting them into production .

Not too keen on any of these tractors Tamiya have released recently. Maybe if they made them fully working with buckets and digger blades... Now I could get interested in this Mr Tamiya

I need one of these to go with my NIB Farm King.

Gonna have to start collecting Tamiya Tractors!

Haha… Lots of potential in these to be fun, weird, and funky!
Cheers,
