I need some help in figuring out the body parts on Monster Beetle and Blitzer Beetle. Which one of these cars originally came with the darker tint window? And do both cars have the driver figure inside? Thanks in advance for your answers.

They both used the same smoke tinted window.

Both have the same driver figure.

Blitzer body parts are molded in black with an orange nose cone which is different than the Monster beetle.

Monster beetle came molded in either white or red.

Saying that, I got a Blitzer Beetle with a slightly tinted windscreen and when I met up with a mate and his Blitzer Beetle, his windscreen was a VERY dark tint. Why and When did Tamiya change the Specs for the tinting?

Jim, thanks for your response. I have 2 windows for the Beetle cars. Both are new in bag parts from Tamiya. And both are smoke tinted as you said. But one is noticeabily darker tint than the other. That's why I think perhaps Monter Beetle and Blitzer Beetle originally came with different tint/shade windows. [?]

this is all very interesting, i have one MB shell with dark tint window and headlights and one MB shell with CLEAR window and clear lights.

The tinted lights must have been done by someone

Is the clear window from the sand scorcher?

The Blitzer Beetle hands down has the darker tinted window. My Blitzer Beetle came with the driver that is common to the Sand Scorcher and Monster Beetle.

I don't know that I would go that far. IMHO, I don't its the difference between a white monster beetle shell vs. a red one.

So does that mean the lighter tinted window is more valuable because it's a discontinued part for the Monster Beetle?
