TT-01, what version?

Recommended Posts

Short and simple: how can you tell which TT-01 version (D, E,...) you have? I got one as part of a purchase but i don't know anything about the TT-01 and wonder what to do with it.

There is no real difference just what the kits were supplied with eg esc or drift tyres there are subtle differences in some of the plastic parts but nothing significant

first came TT01... solid hunk o plastic

then came TT01D (aka Type-D) supposedly Drift edition with Sport Tuned motor,

adjustable camber link and ballbearings. Heat sink & Type-D or Driftspec tyres.

CVA super mini shocks.

TT01R had more goodies, think it had metal centre shaft & CVDs on top of above.

Possibly also the CF top plate but R kit was only one that had no bodyshell.

GT Tuned motor.

Later chassis was updated to Type E with the plastic top plate and revised steering.

Gearbox caps changed to new design shock towers, plastic cover for motor.

Type E also spawned D & R variants.

Bits of information found on various forums. Did not write down the original posters, so no credits

So, R type E would be the most upped up. D type E would be a decent choice.

TT01D has:
adjustable upper arms (F&R)
new lower arms
body or esc
drift tires
bb's
oil shocks
TT01R has:
a) 25t tuned motor
B) 4 super mini oil filled shocks
c) full ball bearings
d) aluminum drive shaft
e) aluminum drive shaft pickups
f) metal dogbones and cups front and rear
g) adjustable upper arms
h) new a-arms with droop adjustment
i) all aluminum turnbuckles and shock mounts
j) 3 different spur gears
k) toe in rear uprights
l) softer tires
TT01E:
Newly designed front uprights (A parts) have been added to improve the handling of the chassis
A new upper deck has also been added to increase the overall rigidity of the chassis
The steering system has been completely redesigned to feature the race proven TA05 steering system.
New front and rear shock towers are now molded separately from the gear case covers.
