Back in the day when I used to abuse my holiday buggy, I noticed a persistant problem with the front shocks/spring and where they attach to the chassis. Does anyone know if there is a way to reinforce this area? You basically have just a few millimeters of plastic thats securing the spring rod and can be easily broken over the course of time.

Hi John

Everybody who has ever had a Hol bug has had this trouble.

Here's what i have done to my runner to keep the chasis from hitting the floor. First make a trace of the chassis strut tops on paper and cut it out then find a piece of alley to stick the paper on then cut the alley to shape then finally super glue it on.

Trust me glueing it is strong enough.

I'm very sorry to go offtopic, but I would really like to ask Sonic to let me know about the deal we were having. I still haven't received the goods he traded, yet he is updating his showroom (with the cars I traded!) and posting on the forums. [:(]

So please Sonic, get back in touch, as I would really like to hear from you. That would make me a lot less worried. [8D]

I reinforced with aluminium sheet top and bottom bonded to the chassis with 2 pack epoxy. The alloy sheet doesn't need to be mega thick as the strength comes from the sandwich effect of the finished result. Take your time in filing the alloy to the right shape and wipe off excess glue before it dries.....Quick, easy and Bullet proof!!

You can also use this method to fix a chassis that has alread broken in this area.

Good luck
