Vintage Buggies from the 70's, 80's & early 90's.

Controlled Racing with extra points awarded for 'Vintageness' and 'Uniqueness'.

BRCA not required but now is your chance to renew.

Hosted by A1 Racing in Grantham, South Lincolnshire, conveniently placed on the A1 in the East Midlands, UK.

Attractively priced local hotels for those wishing to arrive on the Saturday evening (and hit the pub).

Chilled out rules so Rere's are allowed.

In fact, the whole meet will have an emphasis on Nostalgia with a very relaxed atmosphere, giving racing novices and collectors a chance to race their buggies in a welcoming environment.

Novices & Racers will be separated into their own Championships.

The Best Bit??? This is going to be a Charity Event with a huge proportion of the proceeds going to charity. No profit for anyone involved.

Full set of Rules and Online Entry available within days.

A1 Racing have absolutely knocked it out of the park with this and are fully amenable to the needs of your typical Vintage Collector (us) and also the chance for proper Racers to go back in time and re-live those RC10, CAT days.

Concourse de Elegance.

RC Auto Jumble.

Raffles and Prizes galore.

Looks like a 3 hour flight and a 3 hour+ train trip for me... better be worth it, booking the time off tomorrow!! I will be one who wants a hotel and hit the pub :D

Just wanna make sure though... my Re Re Holiday buggy 'stock'ish is okay to run?... I'm a terrible driver but I love to take part.

I might have a Wild Willie 2 by then also, hope that's okay to bring.

Great news :)

Rere Holiday Buggies and Sand Rovers are on the list. They will score very low on the Nostalgia Points system (because the chassis isn't vintage) but it's not about the winning. <- We've since decided that the DT-02 chassis is just too modern so rere HB's and SR's are not eligible.

As is tradition for events of late, there will be a lunchtime Wheelie Race for Stunt Vehicles such as Wild Willy, Wild Willy 2, Lunchbox etc. Although not strictly vintage this will be a nice, track filling fun race and has to be done.

PM me and I will help with your travel and accommodation questions. We have 2 Hotels which we'll be recommending for the Saturday night. 5 minutes from each other and the Pub.

Thanks, J

I've been asked elsewhere about Wheelchair access.

Although the carpark isn't ideal we will assist wheelchair attendees.

A1 will be building a raised area near to the rostrum for wheelchair users.

Just to confirm then that there will be a Lunchtime Tamiya Wheelie race, just for fun, with any era of Tamiya Wheelie Stunt Vehicle permitted.

The rest of the event is for Electric Buggies. No Monster Trucks. [(edit) re Monster Trucks. They are now in the mix! :D ]

I've been asked about the RC Auto Jumble.

This is for attendees to bring and sell their stuff for themselves and not linked with the Charity.

I'm very happy to announce the charity for the Revival Meeting.

Breast Cancer Care.

This is the Just Giving Page that race fees and fundraising will go into: http://www.justgiving.com/RcRevival2014

Just a few quid has to go to A1 racing and then a HUGE percentage will go to Breast Cancer Care.

No profit for anyone.

This promises to be a cracking day and for a fantastic cause as well.

I've donated £5 to get the ball rolling, good luck with your target :-)

Unfortunately we are planning on entering rd 4 of the North East Regionals on the same day, so won't make it - well, we are racers these days you know ;-)

Have a super day-out!

I shall donate too!

Here's a sneak peak of a car I hope to take

Nice one. Your entry fee will be the donation. About 75% of entry fees will go to the charity until the track is paid for and then 100% of entry fees will go to the charity.

Sounds like a great event John, well done on arranging something like this.

I can't make it, but I've just made a donation for a very good cause.

Make sure you've got a designated video man.... anyone taking a quadcopter with camera for those extra special shots..

HAVE FUN EVERYONE.....
