InsaneJim69 1583 Posted December 11, 2014 Recently bought a few Ghostbuster Lego sets and built one the other day for displaying. Very impressed with it and only took around 40 mins or so to build and complete. Highly recommended set IMO. Their is some awesome concepts on the Lego Ideas website def worth a look, especially the upcoming Big Bang Theory Set James

Grastens 2795 Posted December 26, 2014 That car is incredible! The friction in that engine must be enormous... I was lucky enough on Christmas Day to build a spaceship... spaceship SPACESHIP! It was an enjoyable build, and as with all Lego sets it was fun seeing it all come together with each stage of the build. The 940 pieces took me roughly 3 hours to assemble together, and the end result was very well-engineered and with lots of play value. I enjoyed The Lego Movie a lot, and so this was a nice addition to my modest collection

Shodog 1834 Posted December 26, 2014 My son's Lego bins are kind of a sore subject for me. There are several high priced kits all broken apart and mixed together. Plus he traded pieces with his friends so there is no telling if something is complete.

I keep telling my 5 year old we need to dismantle things so we can build other things with his imagination. Only when we get OLD do we do one off builds and keep them

Grastens 2795 Posted December 28, 2014 I. AM. SO. JEALOUS!! O__O Now you know how I feel every time I see a new owner of a Tamiya 3-speed But as expensive toys go, this suffices for me! Adventures have ensued with the now tacky-looking aircraft I had built prior to the Spaceship Spaceship Spaceship!. One thing I like about building new sets is the opportunity to see new and different construction techniques I would not have thought of otherwise. I hope I can improve my current efforts in light of what I have learned building with new Lego.

Here's Benny amongst the parts of the original LL928: I sold that set, plus the LL926 Space Command Centre just before Christmas... So Benny and the Jets reformed for one last gig before they finally disbanded... Jx
Grastens 2795 Posted December 29, 2014 Has Lego started to remake the original "SPACE" themed Lego kits? Not officially, but if you check out Lego Neo-Classic Space online, there are some cool modern-day designs based on the Lego Space theme. I highly recommend browsing there for inspiration.
