Lego-Porsche-911-GT3-RS-021-626x382.jpg

Naturally I want it, but it looks like the price has been set at $300 USD.. Yes, it's 2700 pieces, but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend that much on a static model. Never mind that fact that 90% of my tamiya kits end up as static models anyways. The 42043 Arocs retails at $229 USD and has more pieces and arguably more features, seems like the Porsche tax is on a full effect :D

Ahhh.... that Porsche is so tempting. I'm glad Lego abandonded that not-so-eye-pleasing Erlkönig coulour scheme, see this post for previous pictures:

Oops just ordered the Actros 42043, from Tesco direct, for £130, hope they have it in stock as stated!

Argos had it for £115 to but seems sold out, epic build it looks, I had similar one with grabber on 20years ago now it must of been still have it to.

I guess to Porsche will be around £200-250 here in UK, looks amazing huge to!

I think I still have my Technic grab lorry somewhere in the attic !

It has an electric motor which drives a compressor and has air tanks to work the pneumatic cylinders for the grab arm.

Haha...if Tamiya came up with interested or long waited kits, then all the plans will evaporate. Ssme here mate :-)

Just sent a request to a guy selling a used set of the latest version a bit cheaper than newer one. Hopefully he still have it and wants to make a deal.

I saw one of these in the shop window of my local Lego store today. My word, it is stunning. And huge. The photos of this thing simply do NOT do it justice. Surprisingly though, the box is smaller than I expected. I bought the 42043 Mercedes Arocs truck last month and the box for that is a monster compared to the Porsche box.

Honestly, right now I hope Tamiya do not release anything significant over the summer as this Lego kit is at the top of my wishlist. It is a must have.

I saw dimensions does seem huge!  I got the Mercedes to about 2/3 way through build spent more time on it than RC lol.  I am also ahhem getting the Ferrari F40 for fathers day.  Can afford these lego sets now more so, see they have a new one of big ben to, but where does one put them after?

The Porsche is 1/8th scale and lengthwise looks about right...but it was the width of the thing that surprised me. It is fat!

I am really getting into these adult themed Lego sets, and I hope they continue to come up with more of them.

hehe gona need a whole shelf for it then and wide! I still need to find space for the benz! the functions on it though are so cool.

lol that sounds like rude lego, but know what you mean it must be adults buying all these big sets, I so want the Simpsons house to.

Went by Legoland Billund on my way home from vacation, and spend 2 nights at their resort with my wife and 2 sons. My first time there in more than 30 years. Excellent place with a lot of fun things to try, and excellent builds throughout the place. With the worlds largest Lego store on the way out, it was difficult to hold back :). Only issue is that everything is crazy expensive!

Yea these are not toys are they really mine are just on shelf though once built, got mini and Ferrari F40 now, along with Technic Mercedes truck grabber.

They keep releasing more and more lol, New technic Porsche and others want but are huge!!

Certainly not toys like some of the other kits!  I also have the Kwik E Mart and the kids have a good time playing with that one.  They won't get to play with the VW anymore or the recently acquired Porsche that is still living in the box (though they are allowed to help with the assembly).

Picked on up for £200 recently instead of usual price of £250, box alone is awesome looks classy, I just need more room for these now!!

Space is becoming a problem, at mo F40 in lounge but wife is like not staying there!! more shelfs needed in my man cave upstairs lol
