I bought one from the advice given on this website, put it in my CC01 as a stop-gap until I could afford a crawler-specific ESC, but can hardly see the point, the 1060 is performing perfectly!!

Hopefully it will force the cost of other electronic items down.

I have more faith in the hobbywing brand than 3/year racing lol.

Yeah I have one in my CC01, great in f/r mode with the drag brake!

Also have 3 others in various rc's, might buy some more! :)

Beter substitute for the Tamiya escs.

I have 2 of these baby's since today, should have done this much sooner. Smooth driving everywhere.

Nice and small, will fit any 1/10 rc car imho.

They're great aren't they, I've just put one in my XV-01 rally car along with a BZ motor and a 2S LiPo and the ESC doesn't even break a sweat!

I have one in a CR-01 and another on the way - will probably end up in the Scorpion when I build it coupled to a sport tuned motor.

For under £14 delivered from China ebay sellers they are great value - easy set up and calibration, 2 minutes, job done !

I still say this forum needs a blush smiley.

Just ordered one of these from modelsport for my 6x6 truck. I'll be running it on 3S on a silver can. Will post my findings when I get it installed.

Piece of cake to install and setup. I liked the fact you can clip the on off switch to the side of the speedo. Coped fine with running a silver can on 3S in my 6x6 truck, only problem is that it is still too fast, so it looks like I'm going to be running it on 2S after all.....

So...

Looking at the manual it states that the 1060 has a drag-brake feature - but nowhere does it say how to program it?

I am curious as I run one in my CC01 which is heavy and currently rolls backwards on an incline. A drag brake is definitely needed.

Does anybody know if this 'feature' actually exists and if so, how to program it?

Yep stick the jumper on direct forward and backwards, then it dragbrakes (no adjustments just full brake on releasing throttle)

I use these esc and didn't realise they had a drag brake function. I normally stick the jumper on forward and brake only as I found it increased the breaking ability.

For anyone else looking to try the drag brake function on these esc it is exactly as described above, just be warned that if your truck has a lot of grip then immediately coming off throttle it will brake hard and try to do a forward roll!

My twin daggers being a good example of that!!

Thank you. Just pulled the trigger on one of these hoping it will sort out my issues with ESC's thermalling out on my TL01 drift car.

I run two of these and I'm sure I will buy more in the future fantastic product for the money, my Tl01 hot rod ford and my ta02sw Porsche both have them. Easy set up and cheap as chips

Awesome esc's for the money and lipo compatible. They are all I use.

Tried the drag brake on my WR-01. It just flips on anything over walking pace :-(

I find the transfer from brake to reverse to easy to mess up on these, it often hits reverse rather than brake, an issue I never have with the TBLE-02s
