the name kinda "socks" but i must say i do like the appearance of it. Never really got into crawlers and sold my CC-01 even before i completely finished it but maybe this is my ticket back in ^_^

Best looking CR01 I've seen, but it's mostly all mouth and no trousers. I suspect there'll be some disappointed buyers once that realise it's no rock racer.

Probably because there are no re-releases in this bunch ;)

I like the CR-01, but I guess the 'rock racer' pastiche suggests speed, which may be a bit misleading when it comes to rock crawling. But either way, rock crawling is about getting past rocks at the highest speed possible, right? It is certainly a capable chassis.

The TB-04 Pro II has me intrigued.

There will be more to come than just these. They always do a preliminary announcement in early April, followed by the "meat" of the bunch around a week later.

Why all the hate for the CR-01 chassis? Is it not supposed to be an alternative to the Axial SCX10s of the world?

I think hate is abit strong - i don't hate the chassis at all. First look of this says its a great looking rig, but true crawler guys won't dig the body design, and take it to the local skate park/bash area and the kids will expect it to go 30+ mph with that body look.

My thoughts exactly. I actually like the chassis and would enjoy building one but at that price I could get a more capable crawler, upgrade it and treat myself to a fast bashers.

More of the same. Ho hum. We need more creative thinking like the GF-01. If they are going to keep releasing the same, at least speed up the classic re-re's we all want. That being said, I do want that body for my CR-01 as I love mine. I run it with a silvercan so it's pretty quick for a crawler. I think it'd be a good rock racer with a good brushless setup.

Now what would happen if you stuff it with a Castle creations Sidewinder 6T brushless combo?

Funny how some of you say "more of the same"

The Evo6 will have plenty of people foaming at the mouth considering the last Evo was 6 yrs ago :)

I don't really get the point of the TB Evo series. They aren't the TRF cars made for racing, so they are a mid level touring car made for what? I'm asking, not flaming.

yeah, query same meself

Shaft was good for lower powered racing back in the days of eI/Ii\III.

Was good for drifting in early era, when IV/IVms/5 was about.

But not even VDS could revive that corpse.

Since then not much real purpose. Big fan of TBevo but haven't even

unboxed the 5ms... the IIIs & 5 ended up totally blinged & on the shelf.

IVs don't quite gel for me but they still hang about in odd corners

holding up show shells.

Wonder what e6 is... TB04 drivetrain with 418 latest suspension? :D

This...I got my SCX10 for £170 in kit form (bought in the US on a trip). The CR-01 seemed like massively more money for no obvious benefit (other than it being Tamiya and having the option of going with a Unimog body).

I like look of rock socker for sure, Reckon its meant to be more like a stadium truck, and probably geared to go faster than standard CR-01 maybe.

Expect price will be pretty high tough!

BigSquid has the Rock Socker Listed at $530.00, That is TamiyaUSA prices though .. so yeah as I thought, about £300. I'm still interested :D

$530 at TUSA should equate to ca $350 at Tower / Stella; maybe a touch less at Banzai.

Expect UK to be ca £350 then

The livery on rock socker looks like an intentional misspelling of Rock Star energy drinks. Too cheap to pay the licensing fee.
