Hi chaps,

Is it possible to get metal diff gears for the Monster Beetle?

I'm looking at changing the motor and don't want to strip the current gears.

BTW, can anyone explain (for the benefit of someone thick) what the numbers mean for a motor? ie 12x2

Which gives more torque?

Any help appreciated!

never heard of metal diff gears, the only hop up diffs i have seen are the thorp ball diffs (very expencive and hard to find!)[:(]

the higher number of turns on a motor the more torque it has, but less rpm, the less turns and the greater the rpm but less torque!

personally i wouldnt fit a really high powered motor in a MB, something will just break![8)]

Hi the numbers used for a motor i.e 13x2 mean there is 13 turns of 2 lots of wire, turns being how many times the wire is wound around the armature, less turns=more speed, the higher second figure (i.e the x2, x3 ,x4 double, triple, quad)means more punch (acceleration)

so a 13x2 would be faster than a 14x2
