I heard from a very reliable source in Japan that Kyosho has delayed the release date so that they can increase production to meet demand. So have no worries, there will be more available

Noooo. I want mine in June. :)

As I do as well. But in the off chance that my order isn't filled because of too much demand, I'll wait a month lol

Cannot argue with that. :)

It was nice to see the scorpion in person at RCX. The Kyosho guys had lots of information to share which ToyKid has pretty much shared already. I took a couple of pics with my phone. The best part was the Kyosho guys talking about how everyone, including competitors, buy their shocks for their off road cars. LOL.

We still need to know what was on that list though! :)

The only info the rep told me was that all the flat metal parts would be available in carbon. There will also be shock upgrade kit that uses the current 1/10 race buggy shocks. Sorry I don't have more info than that at this time.

You can drive it too, but only if you help me shoot a video for it. :-)

What on earth?? Stella are supplying the Scorpion??? I was going to email them about it weeks ago but thought there would be no way they would stock it.

As mentioned above, what was their price?

Weird how it is not to be seen anywhere in their store.

So when the re re was announced, I asked Stella about it. They weren't sure about getting any and then I got an email back saying they had a few and if I was still interested. It was $238, eighteen dollars more than what AMain lists it for, but since I had an order getting ready, I asked them to ship it as well. I figure it's worth the extra couple dollars to have it early, as AMain isn't exactly the first to get kits

Congrats. It seems that they are hitting Hong Kong before Japan then....a sure sign that they are being made in China.

How much was the shipping from Stella?

This maybe too early to ask ...can any one comment on wheather the scorpion or rc10 is better? i think the scorpion will out perform the rc10 as is a newer model? looks and design wise , i prefer the scorpion. mind you rc10 is still available at LHS here. Don't know what the price is, but i guess not cheaper enough for the locals to pick one up or the American stuff is not big here.

An RC10, either vintage or re-release, will wipe the floor with the Scorpion. It will also do the same to the Scorpion's successor, the Ultima, albeit in a less savage manner. :P

Just in case you missed it, Tower Hobbies is now selling a limited selection of Kyosho products including the 2014 Scorpion (for $219 ea.).

It's the 1980's all over again!

Special thanks to shenloco for the heads-up on this news. Discussion about it is here (in Related Sites): http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73562
