Yes. Tamiya yellow is a very bright and light yellow. The plastic in the scorpion kit almost border on an orange tinge. The red just adds the right tint to the yellow.

How many coats yellow have you painted before you backed it with red ?

It was 4-5 coats (light) until it was solid yellow with no light areas in the recesses. A single coat of red that was a bit heavier for even coverage. For the driver, I just cut the film from the top side and painted white ( same thing the RCCA guy did, but I did it not for ease, but to have the driver be matte). The paint really came out well.

I used Tamiya yellow backed with red. It turned out very well.

Great idea...and you may also have helped me address something that has bugged me for 27 years. In all of that time I have been trying to find a match for the shade of yellow that Kyosho used on the box art for their Turbo Optima Mid & Turbo Optima Mid SE. It's like a sunburst yellow and a shade that I have simply never been able to find. This colour blend you have used looks pretty close to me...

Can you tell me which Tamiya PS code of red and yellow you used?

It did put a smile on my face. Running a silvercan for now. It drives great. The suspension works well and it scoots. Good realistic body roll. Haven't launched it off big jumps yet, that's coming soon. :D

Great video Theibault. I am really trying not to buy this one right now. Wonder how that will end

Ha ha!!

Yea I just had to buy one! If it wasn't for me as a kid always going into this shop with my dad that sold pool supplies and had RC's also and I always went right to the RC spot and remembered seeing this all the time wishing just some how I can get one but my dad would never ever buy it for me ... so long story short now I got one finally!!

So, regarding the thread lock lol. Make sure to thread lock the nuts that hold the pillow balls to the servo saver. Just went for a quick run and lost one (the nut, pillow ball still there).
