I have not had any contact from RC Champ about my pre-order and am getting a bit worried about it, considering Banzai have already shipped theirs out.

Did anyone else order theirs through Champ?

Mine is in the paint shop. I had a bunch of spare lexan wings with my stash of original Scorpion parts. Will probably paint one of those up to change things up a bit. I also found a kidex rear skid plate for the transmission. Going to install that to avoid nicking it up. Pictures to come shortly

Guy's I have a old kyosho motor in my Re release blitzer I think it may be more suited for the scorpion...what do you think?

I think it's a 210 or 215 ST lemans motor or something?

The LeMans were available in 240, 360, and 480. Yours is probably a 240ST. Basically the same one I put in my re-re

Thanks.... Do you know what the specs are for this motor? and will it be to much for the stock scorpion gearing?

It's a 19T or 20T.. Not sure single or double wind. The ST is not on the chart that I have.. See attached

They were designed for the Scorpion. So I don't think they will be an issue. Kit also comes with a spare gears do you can go down in gearing

Found it.. The 240st is a 22T single wind

Thanks so that should not be to bad... maybe I will put it in but I may just put the Tamiya torque tuned 550 in first.

TZ is a 23 turn.. So no it would not be. The LeMans 240SB is a 19T which was commonly used in the scorpion.

The chassis: I personally would not go bellow a 15 turn brushed or 13.5 brushless because the suspension will not handle the speed.

On the other hand, the tranny will handle any motor you throw in there. It's really well made. You just have to adjust the gearing so you don't over heat your motor.

That's the one I have first row second motor down first one in the second row from left to right!

Not sure which Le Mans Motor to put in mine :)

Obviously the On-Road or that smart-looking Trinity :P

Quite a collection of motors there - Kyosho's Le Mans series is certainly charismatic!

I admit that I feel the excitement of the members here for the Scorpion - would there be enough for a single-model race at the next meeting?

Thanks guys.

I owned & raced most of the most of the Le Mans in my racing days in the 80's and have slowly collected them over the past 5 years. I have most of the 360 ( 550) motors too but they aren't race legal even back then so they are in my other collection of all sorts.

I wish I had a magnet Zapper as with all old motors they loose a lot of the magnet strength..
