Anyone know what Kyosho's plans are for Option Parts in the USA?

I got the HG shocks, but RC Carbon Works extended shock towers don't fit right. Front is too short, rear is too tall. Not to mention that HG shocks are excessively complex.

I can't find a carbon servo saver mount anywhere.

The U-joint axles are expected to solve the binding dog-bone issue.

My box of aftermarket spares is expanding for this car from experimenting with North American aftermarket parts.

Several shops in Japan have most of the Option Parts listed, but nothing here. Presumably, parts are available, no?

Which shops in Japan show the option parts?

I have checked Banzai and JRRC.

Thanks, have seen both of those sites too, can find nothing on shipping to the US.

My plan is to wait till Banzai gets the parts in, they are pretty quick on shipping to the US, and have good prices.

I'm after all the hop ups, going to cost a mint :)

Can anyone offer info about the CRP front arm shaft?

It is the same width as the factory piece, but has more bend to angle out the trailing arms. Diameter of OEM is 5.00mm, CRP is 5.10mm.

Is the re-re part different than the 80's Scorpion to accomplish what the CRP part does?

Don't know but with todays materials I am betting the stock one is probably stronger now than the old cpr hop up version .

I'm trying to e-mail some of the hole-in-the-wall shops in Japan and see if I can persuade them to ship an order to the US. If they are willing, anyone want to get parts in the same order?

Banzai just listed more hop ups, can't beat their prices, and with EMS shipping, gets here to the US pretty quick.

I just ordered some goodies Posted Image

Thanks for the heads up! Ordered a couple of bits and pieces. And they seem to have the Le mans 490 :)

Good deal!

I'm down to just needing a few parts, will then be able to start my full option build.

The only option part I won't be using the small bumper, have an old JG red front bumper to use.

Plan using a few vintage hop ups like the CRP rear under guard and a JG front under guard.

Just ordered the motor and a red wing. £22!

Can anyone explain why the SCW004 part is so expensive compared to the other small carbon parts?

A typo, surely?

Is likely because is a new product and just testing the water. I think the servo plate is cut from a flat sheet to form the curve, so there maybe a small amount of wastage. Prizing error makes more sense. $15.00 is still a bit much but $35.00 is too much.

don't know, guess we will see, I checked this link http://translate.goo...FXUrXxj_UjGmqFw posted by SupraChrgd82, its listed for $36 there.

I curious, how reliable the banzai shop availability info is now. When I ordered a few parts, they send me 2 days later a mail, with a confirmation of 50% of my order. So please let us know, what they are actually able to deliver.

Did you receive a confirmation when you placed your order?

Or did they send another confirmation when they shipped?

I've only ordered one other time, and everything came as ordered.

One time I ordered a in stock Tamiya TT02 kit and waited for shipping like a week or so then I kept e-mailing them and then they told me it was out of stock after about 2 weeks.

Perhaps they have improved, I sent a couple of questions and heard back the next day both times.

I also wonder if they have improved there stock notification, I had a part in my cart for a few days, went to checkout and the part was gone, it was out of stock. So hopefully they have made improvements.

Think it may have something to do with a special bending process of the carbon?

Bet the carbon gearbox mount will be pricey too.

You may be right. Just had a look at the Scorpion thread on RC10talk and they are suggesting the same thing. Why would it be so costly to bend a piece of carbon fibre though?

Finally, something I had not noticed before...Kyosho list the Scorpion on their site as being part of the "Legendary Series". That is encouraging news for those wanting more re-released classics from their stable.

I have received only one confirmation with respect to the shipment, when they send the goods out with the shipment number.

Part of their mail:

"Unfortunately, following products were out of stock and we will issue refund inc. shipping cost if any within 3-5 working days.

>

> Kyosho SC225.

> Kyosho 232.

> Kyosho 224R."

JR-RC listed some new items. Pricey, but if you're dying to have 'em first, there's a fair selection.

How does the CRP guard mount? Got a pic?
