I you look at the list you can see 84382 and 84384 are missing in the sequence, plus there is no tank in the list either.

84382 is the TB-04 PRO II Chassis Kit, but I refrained from listing it in this thread because it was already old news when I started the thread. 84384 is still unknown to me though.

Well if you don't know then it's definitely a surprise! ;)

I might pass on the mountaineer, i want a tamiya blazer... what's the difference between the two in speed and handling..?

Will be interesting to see what colour the wheels on the metallic hornet will be, i hope gold.

The mounty s/b a bit better, but compare to todays stuff...both are bad at best. the mounty has 4 shocks as standard; the blazer has the manual front locking hubs. I think both have very similer to identical in performances. I too will hold off til the blazer is re release, provided i still have a job at that time.:-(

New product list at tamiyablog. Tamiya release TS cobalt green spray colour for ABS plastic.

PS54 cobalt green for lexan was released 2006 together with the 30th anniversary model of the 934RSR.

I hope they release the TS cobalt green for a original re release of the 934 RSR :)

Now you're talking! Seems strange that they would release this colour without a model for it to go on. Unless there was another car that used this colour?

Am I horribly mistaken? ( it's happened before!) but the Mountain hi lux appears to be a CR01 according to tamiyablog pics?

Are you sure that isn't the Rock Socker you are looking at?

It may be, but it's the only Hi lux? As I said, I've been wrong before!

The picture of the hilux have not been released yet, so i guess you are looking on the Rock Socker.

As a TC member are you happy with Tamiya's releases (not re releases) so far?

For me, no. If wasn't for the re re, i would not have purchased anything from Tamiya for at least the last 5 years. Mind you I understand we all have different tastes and likes. Is nothing wrong if one likes all the wheelie models T has been putting out.

The last 5 years have had great releases. New high-end onroad and off road chassis as well as beginner level cars. New monster truck (TXT2) Wheelies and probably the ultimate RC loon car (The GF01 chassis). Also they have made one of the most versitile and unique chassis in the XV01, drift, race, rally and even mild off road, its also a superb car to drive.

The only thing they havent made is a scaler, but to be honest, I am happy with the CC01. The new hop-ups (Stroke extension kit) really makes the car more than capable for getting them muddy and navigating cross country walks with the dog.

They even re released all the 3 speeds for collectors, nice niche cars, but if you took the nostalgia away from them no one would buy one (I thought they were junk back in the day).

Looking forward to the new M05 and Evo 6 myself :)

It will be interesting to see what the TRF101W front end will be like, obviously it will be a 'wide' version of the TRF101 but I'm sure they won't use an old F103 front end on it as they did with the F104W/WGP.

Last 5 yrs, not counting re-res... Hmm...

Evo5 is just outside that timeframe (6y) but for flat track they've done a TA06... it's a cool sled.

(Whole slew of TRF415/6/7/8... boring race cars)

Drifters got the VDF & II... another cool ride.

CR01? that might just slip in the 5y mark

That new 1/12th.

New F1...ok IMHO not as cool as F201.

GF01 is surprise of the year if not semidecade :)

in total... Can't complain!

I soon hope to be, as I look forward to acquiring a touring car chassis to complete my Loctite Zexel GT-R project! That being said, I would not know where to begin, chassis-wise...

I have to say I like the F1 cars, though. I really liked the F103 for the Le Mans series, and I griped a little when I found out there were no more such cars to be had outside the Group C chassis, which is older, but seeing those chassis up close at my local F1 racing series has me quite impressed. I even considered an F104W - it would be just excellent to see more 70s racers on that platform.

But other than that, I admit my attention has been more towards the re-releases, so I would not have a really-informed opinion on the state of Tamiya's original recent releases.

While I can't claim to be keen on everything they have released lately, the rate at which they are releasing models I find desirable exceeds the rate at which I can afford to buy them, so they are doing more than enough to keep my interest!

what's more evil... bringing out stream of new bodyshells on TL01 chassis

or recycling same old lot of bodyshells on many different existing chassis

oh hey, TS Cobalt Green = can now paint old 934 properly :)
