Metalix DIY model kits

Saw these kits in my local 99p store, picked up the go kart and the aeroplane, when I showed the mrs my spoils, she decided she wanted to build one, so she took the aeroplane, I took the go-kart and we had a build off!!.

My build was severely hampered by having to help her every 5mins, and so she finished well ahead of me.

The instructions were terrible, you only get a partial exploded drawing on the back and it is so small you would need an electron microscope to read it but we got there in the end.

My mrs enjoyed it so much she made me go and get the 3rd model in the set.

The box says 3years +, I wouldn't think a 3 year old would build these, I struggled enough myself, lol

And the first thing my 2year old boy said when he came down in the morning and seen them?, well, I will let you have a few guesses first,

Edit2add: The 3rd car was missing one of the rubbers for the light/ bumper, so she left it off,

The rest of the kits had all their parts and quite a few spare nuts and screws. A bargain at 99p so I thought I'd share.

Cool . I bought some Meccano 'micro' kits like those - I haven't built them yet - probs give them to my grandkids when they can reach the spanners - get them started early

BTW , I think the '3 years' might mean how long it takes to build one !!?? - a bit like the guy who bought a jigsaw puzzle and was quite pleased with himself as it said 8 years+ on the box - and he finished it in 6
