Mountaineer Re-release #84386 (Mountain Rider)

Recommended Posts

Just had a look for the Mountaineer parts numbers and noticed that the Mountaineer grill is white 9228037

and the Bruisers black 9225138, nice for future reference to see if its an all original ReRe or adapted Bru or Monti ;)

Yeah, that is a good thing about it. I liked the black grill better though cause I didn't have to paint it black, but luckily I had semi gloss black spray can for the cab floor.

Here's a cool video of the new Mounty from the RC video legend that is Matteomeier.

This is an incredible video.

I think this video will cause a few guys who were on the fence about this car to go out a get one...

Does anybody have suggestion for a LED light set?

I'm really hoping they release chrome bumpers as a standard option soon.

Awesome video!

It is my favorite rere! Even though mine is a conversion with original decals and a donor rere bruise from a few years ago. Is the Toyota windshield decal not included? Weird considering other Toyota decals are included.

Still on the look out for softer springs and better shocks.

If you want to go on the cheap the RC4WD set for the mojave body works, part number Z-E0016.

I want a Mounty to go with my Bruiser, mostly 'cause the bruiser was a fun build especially comared to a hi-lift kit.

But I still need to get the shell painted for my Bruiser. Ugh.

Yes, because I think you have to buy more then one set.

One tlu-02 and 2 tlu-01 in the example on TamiyaUSA.com.

I think Tamiya got the Mounty and Bruiser right the 1st time around by suppling white bumpers all around. The black or chrome ones just don't do it for me. White goes with any body color except a white body.

I see these are 709 on tower now, so with the super saver code it would be possible to get one for 609.

The best coupon that Tower has currently is $77 off $699+ order. How do you get $100 off?

You get bigger discounts if you're a member of Super Saver Club.

Right now there's $100 off $629 and $115 off $719

Depending on where u are, there is the shipping charge from rc mart plus the wild card....Custom. Mind you, you could be still ahead even with duty. BTW rc mart is the web seller, for me.

How is rc mart vs dinball vs stella packaging-wise? I know stella is really good in that department.

RCMart = Dinball.

Stella are much better, but they go beyond what is normally called for.

Unless you're looking for a perfect NIB, RCMart have always been good enough for me.

Maybe should go with Stella as Stella supports TC and we should support those that support TC/us...like a free mounty for the current competition.
