other forms of money drains

Recommended Posts

Seems to be a common theme on here, most of these money drains have wheels. Here's mine:-

I've also been big in to push bikes since forever, here's some of the current stable:-

I am a hardtail fan as well. I have an old KONA in the shed I keep promising to use more

The GSX has a huge following now and is going up in value fast, quite ironic since they struggled to sell the last of them at the end of production. If I came across one now at the right price I would find it hard to resist even though I do not have any space.

Yeah, I've only got hard tails now. I've had the GSX since 2010, I paid a little over the odds as it was absolutely perfect. I've since spent a fair bit of time as well as money getting it, but I haven't ridden it much this past year. Hopefully that'll change this season. You have some skill there mate. You should branch out in to Ti RC parts.

This is going to be my year of riding. I love the Enfield and I have a season pass to Cadwell this year so I am have plenty of excuses to go and play.

Cadwell is a great circuit, I've only done it once in an Impreza wagon back in '99. I had a bit of a moment there just after the clubhouse going too deep into the s bend. Car was totally sideways going in with the camber then fishtailed left just before the left hander, it actually went very smoothly and could have almost looked planned (if it were a drift day lol) with plenty of opposite lock apart from the four black lines left behind, I actually got black flagged for that and understandably told to cool it! I think that was my first track day.

I love seeing pics of bikes going flat out over the hill!

Another form of money drains I'm subscribed to is Star Wars collecting. I have been relegated to mini busts now though as my cabinet is full of these guys. I have seen evidence of entire rooms full of these so i guess I've got a mild dose of the bug.

Where to start? I collect Transformers, Star Wars and Lego (mainly Star Wars themed).

And grass track racing is probably the biggest drain on my funds

That's looks really nice. There's not much 205 left in mine: Vauxhall engine, Ford gearbox and back axle, Capri front suspension and RWD conversion. It's an absolute scream when it runs, engine is currently in bits spread across the workshop :(

The rear wheels should have give that away! lol

It's a escort with astra engine,in Peugeot....Looks like it works though.😀

I took a friend of a friend out for a spin in her down a country road, and she was flying, back end hopping etc. He bought it off me,then within a week cartwheeled it across a field down the same road!! Snapped the alloys in half against the kerb and not a panel left undamaged 😞

He was only insured 3rd party too.

Not a nice sight as he opened the garage door to show me, but really really lucky to walk away.

Not many left because of the above! lol

I thought it was a great car,as long as you didn't bottle it mid bend, you where fine! 😀

Lol, yeah good old lift off oversteer! At least he walked away - cars can be replaced, people can't
