Aye, they seem to have used their smoked chrome finish for it, as seen on (amongst other things) some limited edition M03 chassis and quite a few different wheel sets. I think it'll look rather good in the flesh as it were.

I think the body looks chrome!

I reckon the reason the car looked black in the Tamiya Video on Tamiya Blog was because the chrome was reflecting the dark ceiling of the arena......

This looks chrome......without a doubt!

Picked up mine yesterday, I can only describe the colour as like an oil slick! Should look nice completed and with the stickers on.

Can't run 2.4ghz systems in it according to the manual, the metallic paint messes with the signal!

Just scored an original NIB for what I think was bargain price. There's Hornets allover up in here.

Stoked as, been chasin one of these for a while now.

That'll make it three...OG, Re Re, and Black Metallic.

I just can't bring myself to love that purple Dalmation lookin thing though. So the three it will be for me.

So it's a dark chrome look, rather than a black metallic. !

To me it looks a bit weird, not sure whether I like it or not. Guess I have to see it in person to be able to decide.

I am not sure about that chrome, tbh I would like to see it black w/black wheels instead of the chrome. The chrome makes it look kinda tacky.
