valman 0 Posted March 19, 2003 I was looking at buying some new turnbuckles for my TL01 chassis and found three different sets, see below, on the Tamiya site. 53109 - Turnbuckle Shaft Set 53526 - 3x23mm Titanium Turnbuckle Set 53527 - 3x32mm Titanium Turnbuckle Set What I wanted to ask is what are the differences between them, if any, and which would be best to use? miramar 4 Posted March 19, 2003 These are probably what you're looking for: 53300 TL01 Turnbuckle Tie-Rod Set (replaces the onepiece plastic steering rods) 53303 TL01 Adjustable Upper Arm (replaces upper suspension arms) These parts DON'T fit the TL01LA chassis though or TL01 or FF02 modified with the "53467 TL-01 & FF02 Long-Span Suspension Arm Set", but they do fit the FF02 with the original suspension. valman 0 Posted March 19, 2003 Sorry miramar, should have said I have attached the Long-Span Suspension Arm Set and that's why I was looking at getting one of these instead of the sets you have quoted. I think 53109 is now discontinued but the other two are new, go right to the bottom of this tamiya page listed below, and are suitable for use with 53467. http://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/rcitem/parts/rc113x11.htm
WillyChang 1814 Posted March 19, 2003 53109 isn't titanium, its the usual black-painted silvery metal that shows through after once too many tweaks with the pliers. Cheap hopup package, I haven't been notified they're discontinued but.
