Hi!

As topic says, do I need all LED's or will it burn?

I'm thinking of skipping the roof lights for the moment.

I bought a second hand MFC-01 from a friend and it is a mess...

Does anybody know?

Help please!

Nope, you can stick any variety of the LED's into the multi fuction units.

From no LED's, to one, to all. Some even add more! :)

So if I want to switch to more warm white less that'll be ok to?

Colour of the LED is insignificant. What matters is the current draw. If connecting a lot more and/or more powerful LED's than the unit is designed for, you will quite likely sooner or later overheat/damage the unit. I've been using warm white LED's with multiple Tamiya TLU's and MFC's for many years. Look a lot more realistic in classic bodies than the "xenon" white of normal white LED's. For maximum realism, you should preferably buy LED's with 360 degree viewing angle to minimize the "dot" effect of regular LED's.

Do you know what Draw you use on the warm white?

I use "extra bright" 360 degree 5mm warm white LED's of the type "golden white" and "sunny white" ("golden white" is a bit more yellow than "sunny white", thus more realistic imho), and both are nominal 20mA at 3V and are connected directly to the TLU's and MFC's without any resistors, just like Tamiya's own LED's.
