Programming issues on a teu-105bk

Trying to get this thing programmed and not having much luck. I can turn the reversing on and off and also the low voltage just fine. When I go through the setup steps though I get nothing. I unplug the the motor turn it on and I get one flash. Then when I bush the button on the esc I get no more flashing pushing the esc button does nothing at this point. If I turn the car on with the motor connected it starts going with no input. I don't have any steering at all. Do I have a bad esc or am I just over looking something

Have you set up the receiver?, no steering suggests a receiver fault to me.

Yeah I have set it up but it's only a traxxas tq so set up is very basic

You do have the plugs the right way round on the receiver don't you? Steering servo is channel 1 and ESC is channel 2.

spdy, is this an all new setup, new ESC, radio etc? I had a problem with a new 105 ESC no lights, couldn't control the speed, but the steering worked fine. Suspected ESC problem, sent it to The Hobby Company (UK Tamiya distibutors?) who checked it out and it was all fine. Supplier then replaced the receiver as they thought that was dodgy. Same result so now waiting on a replacement transmitter. Fingers crossed this time.

I assume it is bound OK? What TX/RX do you have?

I'm pretty sur now it's the radio. I messed with it all weekend and got forward and reverse working. The only thing now is the steering isn't working. The bad thing is it's a 2 channel traxxas tq radio and there is no instructions on this radio so programming so far has been trial and error. I think I'll just have to call traxxas at his point and have them walk me through it. Thanks for all the suggestions though.

TQ has documentation (should also have a quick reference flyer in the battery compartment)

Depeding on which version it is, you can get corresponding instructions from taxxas site
