Just wondering what other people have run besides the factory hard plastic chevy body on a clod? Please post pics of it. Also please list the maker and model/part number of the body. I was thinking of one of the hpi muscle car bodies. Or even an older truck body. Anyways thanks for any help.

I am in this exact situation - bought a second hand Clod with a rough shell and rotted out tyres. I already have a Chevy badged Clod so didn't want another one but managed to find a set of Juggernaut wheels and tyres which has led me down the path of looking for a different body to fit on it.

When I get a moment I was going to look at all the options - initially I thought about the Parma 57 Chevy Pickup but I dont think its big enough...

My thing is I don't want a newer truggy body and I don't want a truck body style new than the 80s. I'm also leaning towards 1970s and older car bodies. Lexan and replaceable is preferred as I'm prolly not going to be very nice to it. I just don't want to crack up my original clod body anymore. I would even consider hard plastic bodies from other brands as long as the proportions were right. I even debated a blackfoot body but those are kinda pricey for what I want to do with it.

Not exactly vintage lol ! But it was one of just a l few reasonably priced bodies I could source in the UK at the time. Proline F650, prior to final decals..

A friend of mine had the Parma 57 Pickup body on his Clod, and if I remember correctly even used the original body posts. The body has a 270mm wheelbase though (according to clodparts.com), but an exact match of chassis- and body-wheelbases is of course not so crucial for monster trucks.

Still looking and am leaning towards a Proline '72 Chevy truck body as I love the look of them :)

In fact Prolines range appears best for the Clod - will do some measuring over the weekend...

At this time I'm leaning towards either the 50s chevy truck body or the 66 f100. But there is also a part of me that want's to go crazy and make a redneck looking contraption with a muscle car or similar 80s or older car.

The Parma 57 Chevy pickup is one of my all time favorite rc bodies, but is scaled more for a Blackfoot, since it has about an 8.5" wheelbase.

For a stock wheelbase, I have a 72 Ford pickup (10.5" wb) that I believe is Parma. For another I'm building with a racing chassis, o have the Pro Line 72 Chevy long wheelbase (11.25" wb iirc) body

Over at rc truck stop, Matt Higgins built a truck using a 55 Chevy car body that looked really sweet. McAllister makes some cool retro bodies, and rj speed has a stockpile of old BoLink bodies as well. I can provide links if necessary
