Plastic card for sure - I've done this many times - easy fix

That doesnt looks so bad. plasticard will do the trick and a some putty and patience.

By plastic card you are talking about styrene sheets?

Any links or pics of repairs?

I am amazed at some of the repairs done by modellers, I want to join the club

You could go the other way and chop the arches back like JennyMo did on the FroSco

Her pics were some I looked at, I'm going to give it a shot at saving it first.
I am going to have to cut up a rere though, I really like what she did with the fenders.
I've added more pics to my showroom.

Don't chop the fenders because they are the difference between the re re bodies and the original vintage ones.
