hugo911 0 Posted March 23, 2003 The F103RS used on the 911 GT1 (58230) was the chassis used on the early F1 cars? Thanks
miramar 4 Posted March 23, 2003 Depends on what you mean with "early"! [] F103 is Tamiya's third generation modern F1 chassis (after F101 and F102) and the F103RS is an evolution version of the F103. Actually, the chassis on the Toyota TS020's and Porsche 911 GT1 (`98) are mostly refered to as F103GT and not F103RS, which is the F1-version. However, the F103GT differs from the F103RS only in having a front bumper, steel antenna mount hoop, and depending on with which F103RS you compare with, with different wheels and tires. Also, the 911 GT1 has different rear body mounts, whereas the TS020's have the F103RS F1-type.
