Hi everyone

Thanks for replying to all of my previous questions, I really appreciate your advice and recommendations. There is a lot of experienced RC'ers her that's for sure.

Lastly (for now anyway), I must choose a battery and charger for my DT03. I would like something better than an NiMH I think. I am not impressed with Tamiya's available options in this area especially the prices.

Can anyone recommend a good value battery and charger combo? Keeping in mind that I am in Australia so if its a mains charger it will need to be for use here. I will be running a Tamiya 12.5T sensored brushless motor with the supplied tble-02s esc.

I expect to spend $50-$100 AUD for both together

Thanks in advance

hi, i use zippy 2s1p and 2s2p LiFepo4 4200 packs in my dt03 , they have slightly lower voltage than lipo but the tble-02s esc that comes with the dt03 is made to work with LiFe packs so it was a no brainer , they can be had from hobbyking very cheaply along with an x100 charger you would have a superb set up that should last for years and come well within budget .

Cool, which is better 2s1P or 2s2P? What does the s and P mean?
Do I need to buy an adapter for the Tamiya plug on the esc?

I am keen on the battery but for the charger, would this be ok?

Hobbyking EC06 5A balance charger w/accessories

I can make do with a car battery for charging as that's what I use now. I have a 5A Ansmann that melts the plastic off cheap NiMH's!
