hi all ,

i have been noticing lately that 3 racing parts are starting to get a bit thin on the ground ,i have always liked 3 racing stuff and i was starting to wonder if they are going out of business , then i saw this on redrc , http://www.redrc.net/2014/09/teamsaxo-gt-500-110th-rwd-kit/#more-85555 , it looks rather nice and a great idea since it is so difficult to find tamiya f103gt cars , however , having had a 3 racing f1 car, i think its pretty safe to say that a few of the parts on the car in the link are of 3racing manufacture ,

anyone know if 3 racing are going over to making cars rather than mainly 'after market hop ups' that they have been known for up to now ?

cheers :)

Teamsaxo? Sounds like something you'd find down at your local McDonalds carpark on a Saturday evening

But having built an entire F103GT from the 3Racing back catalogue I agree with you, that looks to share the engine 'cage' and rear axle but little else.

Certainly 3Racing accessories / hop-ups have tailed-off lately, consider the huge array of parts they offered for the F103, TT01 & TA05 as well as all the M-chassis cars. The TT02? Not a single part! (that I can work out).

They don't make anything for models such as the TA06, XV01, DT03, TT02, I think they are concentrating on their own cars, and just continuing to produce existing parts in limited quantities.

Its a shame, my M05 is mainly kitted out in 3Racing parts, and I've always found them to be good quality at a reasonable price.

Yeah Racing on the other hand seem to produce a decent range of parts for newer models. But I've always found their quality control to be slightly lacking. Missing screws, bits of swarf, bad anodising etc.

hi,

yeah , thats my experience too , it will be a shame if they are stopping , i have found that most 3racing stuff was 'almost' as well made as tamiya hop ups , yeah racing stuff can be hit or miss but they have improved a bit lately , i got an alloy motor mount for my m-05 from yeah and its really well made , i guess it will be topcad or , at a push gpm .

thanks for the responses fella's :)
