Hello,

i didn`t want to start a new topic.

I have a simple Question:

I have a "Blazing Star" and a "Dirt Thrasher", both fully ballraced, equiped with Tamiya Teu-105BK and Teu101-BK ESC`s and aluminium motormounts.

Will they handle a "Tamiya Super Stock BZ" Motor?

Do i have to buy a steel Pinion (the smallest ist 16t or 17t)?

I just fixed up a Blazing Star as a runner this afternoon, it has a Super Stock BZ motor fitted,

I would suggest a Quickrun 1060 ESC , instead of the 101 and 105

You will need a steel pinion, I think mine is 17T, but I am thinking of going brushless in the next few days,

DF-01's make great runners

I rebuilt a dirt thrasher a few months back , took a bit to get some things but im happy with it mostly , the repo decals aren't the best and the guy that printed them is an interesting fellow to say the least.

if you are going to change /upgrade the motor/esc I would look at a brushless setup , I ended up using a Tamiya bl esc and use a 13.5t quick run motor and its great the runtimes are better than the silver can and the funy thing is after I did the dirt thrasher I rebuilt a bearhawk using a generic esc and a bz motor and I ended up costing the same money.

I think from memory im using an 18t rw steel pinion.
