Mystery pan car

This was listed on ebay the other day and I scooped it up ASAP. It looks like Associated from the shock and front end, but the aluminum shock mount isn't something I've seen before. Left side hub is split, but otherwise looks like a solid survivor.

Looks like AE to me with Bolink wheels/tires - Bolink's front ends are far less complex than that..

RC10LS or L2, one or the other. Early-mid 90s.

The local track is talking about starting up a pan class. Not sure if I wanna use this one and my other one to build a retro car, or go with something newer

Is a Serpent silly. Can't you see the box that is on top of it?

You got to stop posting pan cars. I am think about it, but can't decide to go for it and which maker. Currently, Serpent 1:12 scale is under my radar, but is expensive while the other make are cheaper.
