Hi-

I picked up one of these for my neo fighter buggy. Piece of cake to assemble once I got the balls in the holes. A few questions: How much grease? How tight? Anything else I need to be in the lookout for before it goes in the gearbox? It seems to be a open and exposed unit. I have the DF-02 universals to replace the kit dog bones.

The DT02/3 ball differential is a good bit of kit. Use lots of ball diff grease, the best stuff is Associated Stealth lube. Its a little thicker than the Tamiya ball diff grease so stays where you need it longer.

Always use a little more on this ball diff than you would normally use on ball diffs.

As its a limited slip ball diff you cannot use ceramic balls so tungsten carbide are best in this diff.

Set it as per instructions but have the right size allen key handy as with the first few runs chances are the diff will come loose and need setting again. Should be ok after about two re tightening's.

As you are going to race this car the limited slip ball diff is a must as there is no slipper clutch option for this car.
