Hi guys,

Sorry if this seems a stupid question, I am rebuilding a Boomerang and have noticed that when I push the front of car down, the front wheels spread eagle outwards at a alarming angle. Surely the front wheels should remain straight when the front suspension is working.

I have stripped it down and rebuilt it again, but it is exactly the same.

Any thoughts on this would be most helpful.

Cheers

Thats called bump steer. almost every car has it. it's more pronounced because of the high amount of suspension travel. make sure the ball connectors are mounted on the underside of the knuckle and it you can amke it mount even lower.

You could try to make sure the steering rods are the same angle as the suspension arms, by mounting the ballheads different than usual, you could experiment with that. I can't tell you an exact solution as I have no Boomerang to try it on. Good luck. [;)]

The amount of bump steer is perfectly normal for the Boomerang. Its even worse with the Hotshot as its offset servo saver meant the bump steer was different on each side.

Thanks guys for all the information.[^] I have done what you have suggested and it is much improved.[:)]
