If you were to make a 2015 calendar

What cars would you have each month?

As xmas is coming I have been looking for calendars as gifts and haven't seen a good RC one

I would probably list the first few cars I ever owned

manta ray

Escort Michelin pilot

Monster beetle

top force

So what ones would you include?

Definitely a vintage 3-speed - and then the 959, Frog, Bigwig, maybe a Can-Am Lola...

I mean, my calendar would feature a Striker and a Lancia Rally, so the above answers are definitely for a mass-market item!

What we really need is a classic Tamiya advent calendar, with parts and sub-assemblies sitting in a big box behind a mix of doors, to build a complete car by Christmas. Just try not to tear it all open at once!

... That sounds like a TC Photo Competition entry, but still, what a holiday build that would be!

Tamiya could make a killing off us here if they just started producing calendars featuring the box artwork from the big favorites. That would keep us all buying $15-20 calendars for years to come. I'd buy it.

PS. Frog, Fox, Hornet, VLB, Wild One, Porsche (the original green one), Sand Scorcher, Mountaineer, Hotshot, Clodbuster, Lancia (original) & Tyrell six-wheeler. That would just scream classics to me and I'd keep it hanging on the wall no matter what year it was.

Almost would think TC could make one ?.

80's cars & see what cars came out on what month ?.

Or pick them Or have a poll Or what cars are the most common in TC members showrooms have .

Lot's of ways it could be done .

Gee that could be the next TC photo comp of sort . They would be lot's of ways

anyone could do there own .

I would say you can do a couple of different calendar versions. Vintage, modern day, box art, monster truck/4x4's, TRF racing vehicles, semi-trucks, touring cars...any would be a great idea, and I would definitely buy one!

On a side note: I used to be a member of a brand specific car forum, and the members would vote on a member's vehicle for "car of the month". They also compiled those winners to make a calendar, and then sold them to those who wanted them.

I think we here would make an outstanding calendar with all of the amazing vehicles our members have here.

Tamiya calender sounds good. Converted RC Guide Books could be used. Take the Model info page and photo for the top half and put the dates underneath. Each month a different model from the guide book.

It could be a way of re-releasing the guide books in a odd way. Each year a new copy of an old guide book (selected 12 info pages) could be released.

As for my own calender, I think I have most affinity with the 1988-1992 era, after the unique classics, before the touring cars, so would like a calender with plenty of buggies and trucks from that period - Madcap included :)

Bike club I'm a member of did it a few years ago. Members sent in a pic of their bike, everyone voted for their favourite one, the top 12 were then used and a calendar printed. I got March : http://kr250.org/tzr/TZR_68_big.jpg :)

It's as much about the photo as the subject, I've seen some stunning RC pics on here though so looking forward to the end result. B)

Great idea. Ask Andy and Chris first and see if they are keen to put the club logo on it, contact a printer, run a poll, and then we can put a decent calendar in our houses instead of the missus' kittens/baking/flowers jobbie B)

Dirt roosting, water spraying, sand digging, tarmac tearing, car crushing RC pictures are what we want! :D

I think you are talking 2016 now though, bit late for 2015, all the printers are flat out doing corporate Christmas cards

I like the idea of a competition

we then get real home built cars in action shots

also if were to come via tamiyaclub, I know I would buy one

could run 1 every year, a year of off road, on road, trucks, tanks, must have cars

lots and lots of vehicles to chose from

also like the idea of using box art, think this would be the better seller

hmm here's a thought, why produce just 1 calendar?

why not 2 or 3

have an on road and off road etc
