I used a little black marker to black out the infilled spokes which should be hollow. Takes 5 mins a wheel but is well worth it!

I see what you mean, think I've got a sharpie* somewhere.

*Other black markers are available :lol:

They are great looking wheels. As Reliour said , they will look better with the spokes painted black.

Beware though, the gold plastic is super brittle and will break with just a little bit of usage. If you plan to run it, save these wheels for the shelf and pick up a set of Kawada or Vaterra wide/narrow wheels.

@shodog yeah I think you're right, will pick up some spare wheels lovely GT2 btw

My ***** body has arrived, it's not as detailed as the tamiya but will be ok for a runner, will try do a side by side comparison.

Might order a new TA02 chassis tub for this as it let's it down a bit with the piece cut out.

Then I'll probably be in the position to build another GT2 :)

What's the part ref. for the treaded rear tyres? I've only ever been able to find slicks so that's what I just ordered for my 934 :(

If only I knew!

Step 34 is "plug in in the battery and fit the battery holder", so forgive me if I don't post a photo of that :)

Step 35-40 cover trimming, masking, painting and decals for the body & wing.

A mentioned earlier I have 2 bodies, One Tamiya, the other *****

The Tamiya will, of course, be boxart.

The other will be either (Guards) Red or (Speed) Yellow B)

Or maybe another colour that I haven't thought of yet.

No no, when I grew up ( yeah I have actually done that, still the kid in me takes over me most of the time) it was the 1983, I think, Porsche 911 Turbo and it was red where ever I saw it, in magazines, in real life, as a toy car.. So for me Porsche is red. But I must agree that Ferrari is also red :-P

Looking forward to seeing it done!

I sent this link to my buddy. Hopefully he will give a comment here also. He's owned four Porsche's (real ones) and they are either Speed Yellow or Black. Red is just to Ferrari in the end!! :)

Thanks for all the comments on the colour, Got my H parts from Reilluor today, so will trim the body tomorrow :)

I'm leaning heavily towards yellow, just need to find the right shade.

Steps 35-40

Today I cut and masked up the ***** body, and test fitted the wing.

I didn't have window masks, so I had to do it the old fashioned way with masking tape, the headlights need to be done again as they aren't great but I'm not in a position to paint yet so there's no rush.

Will do the Tamiya body when I get a chance.

Mine has been cut out, masked and ready to paint for the last 6 years, but I still haven't got around to it. Terrible huh? I'm hoping your build will inspire me to make some progress with mine!
