Spare parts for Tamiya RC buggies

Hi

I've got an old Frog RC car that I need parts for where is teh best place to go ??

Just need wheels and body parts.

Ebay for tires and wheels, they'll run you about $35-40 for the 4 wheels, and 4 tires, if you can find them as a set. More if you buy them individually. Body, probably ebay aswell. Should cost about $30-50. That said, I'm no expert on frog parts, or their typical cost.

Since it has been re-released, it could be more economical to just buy a complete kit, then you will have all the spare parts you could need, and I belive the gearbox has been improved on the re release.

Personally if buying a whole kit, I would check with tower hobbies, especially if you are in the us.

Thanks for that . Looks like eBay for me as I'm in Australia , plus a full kit is about $200 AUD to buy new.

There was some body kits slightly cheaper, but then some of the extras, like decals or driver, wing was omitted. Note also, that some of the cheaper bodykits are for tamiya tamtech chassis, which looks the same, but much smaller.

Then you could throw in an esc, and get rid of that pesky mechanical fault prone speedcontroller, and avoid a runaway which can destroy your nice new body. This will omit 1 servo aswell, so you'll have a spare, makes your frog lighter awell.

Thanks . But the shipping is a killer $25US just for the tire set, plus with Australian dollar has dropped it make it just that little bit more .
