Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 ESC

I have three of these in various models and find reverse very frustrating - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - am I alone in finding this? With the auto-setup there is not much you can do

Only running silver cans and Sport Tuneds through them...

Man that's a pity. So auto-setup isn't really that helpful, is it? I think manual setup along with double-tap reverse makes me keeping my Tamiya ESCs for brushed motors.

For a basher I wouldnt care but I use two in my M-Chassis racers and the last thing you need on track is reverse not to work when you are in a race!

I have a couple of these ESCs and have never had a problem with reverse. What radio are you using with it?

Ive got seven of these esc's and not had an issue.

Hi I run all my brushed tamiya's using these esc ' s without any issues. I switch the reverse function off to allow maximum braking.

Maybe your throttle channel is reversed or something? I just setup my first 1060esc and it dropped in and ran perfectly with no adjustment. I am on a Spektrum dx4c.

It does work fine mostly but occasionally reverse just doesn't respond - usually when I need it most!

Usually this is due to bad calibration - neutral point not calibrated, esc does not sense neutral and does not switch to reverse

These Quicruns are "auto-sensing" - ie you can do nothing with it!

Zero problems with any of mine so far. I have a about five of these in various cars running with HK3100 receivers. The only time I thought one didn't work was down to user error - I hadn't set ATL to 100% on the transmitter (Core RC Code).

Oh, so it's auto sensing

According to the manual

- the usual "leave your tx to defaults"

- when you turn it on, leave the trigger in neutral for 3 seconds and wait for beep, to allow it to calibrate

- check if when returning to neutral, led goes off

Also, I think after calibration the first command should be forward and not reverse
