Christian,

No problem bud. Also, some other bits can be found on the RSR 934 parts tree like the driver, rear grills, wiper, etc. Keep in mind though that the side mirrors are different. I picked up a set from Jason's RC during my 935's restoration.

Ok cool!

Luckily I already have both mirrors and their reflective inserts :)

I picked up this almost new kit from Etsy of all places! $100 shipped

Excited to bring life back to the 58002 kit I picked up as it was assembled with basic model glue and it seems some of the parts have fallen off and went missing over time.

Thanks for the offer, but I have been needing this and am pretty excited to use it :)

$150 OBO http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-Martini-Porsche-935-Turbo-model-Kit-in-box-/151515197087?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item2347026e9f

Tires are bad and no decals though.

If you need the decals, this guy sells em for a great price

Keep in mind those decals are OLLLLD. They'll barely come off the sheet. I've used them only on the driver's helmet and front windshield and that was a total challenge

Good point.. even when they are left to soak for a while?

So do you recommend I hold on to them and use an alternative? If so, what's the best alternative for decals? Perhaps the ones from the guy in England in that second link I posted?

Christian,

If the static kit you got was the one from six-10 years ago, you should be fine. Now, if the decals are 20 years+ then good luck. The link to the second set you posted was the one I bought from. VERY old stock.

Cowboy,

I used plenty of liquid soap and that didn't help. It should be noted that I also just finished building a kit Tamiya McLaren MP4/8 from 1993. The decals were toast. I ended up using an aftermarket set due to the problems of the original's.

Thanks for the warning.

Wonder who has the best (if at all) an aftermarket set of decals for my Martini?

Christian,

The Tamtech's decals DO work, but keep in mind, that you'll need that ebay second set as the "MARTINI RACING" windshield decal from the Tamtech set will not work. Now, aside from that, with a little finesse, trimming and tweaking, they work just fine. In my opinion, the colors are a much closer match to the real 935.

They may anger the purist Gods out there, but the Tamtech decals will last on the vehicle for decades and look great to boot. Click my showroom link in my sig and you'll see photos of my completed 935 wearing the Tamtech colors.

Thanks so much for chiming in. I looked at your thread and WOW, you really turned that 935 into a beauty!

I will post up my progress once I get started. I have a real good base though... so I think my project is off to a good start.
