The qd models are generally pretty cheap, expect to pay around £40 for a working example, but as with anything, sometimes less and sometimes lots more.

They can be upgraded with modern radio equipment, brushless motors and lipo batteries, they are almost indestructible and great fun.

It is the same chassis as the qd monster beetle which is in my signature.

The QD range is in interesting phenomenon, and seems to be Tamiya's attempt to make it in the toy-grade RC market. As such, they have tiny motors, simple suspension and all-in-one receiver/ESC PCBs like most toy RCs. However they are Tamiyas, and there are signs that they come from a maker of real hobby-grade RCs, such as good-quality plastics and sensibly-designed mouldings, the ability to fit proper bearings, the ability to upgrade to hobby-grade radio gear, etc.

So, as for value, they would be worth more than a similar toy from a lesser manufacturer, but not as much as the full hobby-grade non-QD Tamiya equivalent.

A decent QD monster trucks goes from 30 to 60€, depending on condition and if the electronics still work.

Because of their age (80's) the tires usually crack. but those are still available. (LB and WW2)

Exploded Clod

I started with one Clod, added a Beetle, Wrangler and two buggies Manta and Thundershot.

My nephew and niece love them. Big + the small transmitter is great for kids.
