NEW Porsche 911GT2 Club Sport TA02SW

Recommended Posts

Today I finished my 2nd body (runner) for my TA02. I snatched up the pre-drilled body, decal set, and plastic parts when it was made known that they were available. (Thank you Salvine). I didn't get the screws unfortunately, but luckily I had some hex headed screws that worked.

I'm happy with the outcome, almost too nice to make a runner. It just goes to show, this body looks amazing in any color!

Until the 8th for inventory.

It's the 11th according to the homepage. I will be marking my calendar.

Seeing the body from neverfollow I got inspired for a now paintjob idea. Would be interesting to see a complete flat black body with classic Porsche lettering in Gold. Hmm...

Just curious but do all the shells come with a line across the front and back? It looks like they have been badly formed?

The line is from the three piece mold. After forming, the center drops out and front and back retract. This is how tamiya is able to design with undercuts.

Ah ok that explaines it, Thanks

The car is coming along full bearing set and brushless motor, just waiting on a sensor cable to be delivered and a few other bits.

The shell is prepped ready to paint and I have ordered a set of wheels from the PIAA 911 RS (58215). These were the closest I could find to the Road wheels.

Finally had the wheels delivered, but waiting on the light buckets that are back ordered from Japan.

I'm going to order another Spoiler set to modify to look like the toad car.

Here's the car so far.

That blue looks sick. The best thing about this rere is people are not afraid to paint these something other than box art.

I think the nice thing is, with The box art being white people are more inclined to go a little more out there. Like you I think it's great people are all doing their own thing with the cars.

Somewhere on this site there was a pic of a flat black GT2 that had some crazy rear end to it with a crazy rear wing. I've hunted all over but can't find it.

Help!
