Finally had some down time and decided to modify the spoiler to look like the road car as I had originally planned.

Please excuse the gravel rash, I do have another body on order!

Thanks glad you like it.

It's very easy to do, I just cut following close to the lines between the extra uprights and the original spoiler.

I then profiled the spoiler, with the off cut's lined them up with the top and back edges taped them in to place and used the original holes to mark the new ones to be drilled and counter sunk.

If anyone would like one done I'm happy to do it if it's sent to me.

Close up of the lines to cut.

Thanks!

Yeah that's what happens when you let your 6 year old child loose! Luckily I have another body on order that will be kept as a display along with a spare set of wheels.

Where did you order the body from out of interest? I'm not happy with how the paintjob came out on mine, so I'm thinking of sourcing another for the shelf...but don't want to pay silly money for it!

Is that colour Tamiya PS-59 Dark Blue? I hope so, it looks gorgeous and I've got a can on my desk waiting to go onto a project...

Yes it's PS-59 metallic blue. I also painted the spoiler with it but gave it 4 coats of lacquer that I purchased from an auto parts supply's store.

I painted over with black to give the blue a deeper colour.

Nice, weather permitting I'll get some paint on the little Mazda shell soon.

I'm going ahead and ordering a spare body for the Porsche, that way I have one I can use in anger and not have to worry!

I've had a few problems ordering from UK dealers so have opted to use Modellbau-Seidel in Germany, they have the items in stock. The U.K. Dealers will have to order from Japan and currently Tamia Japan only have the sticker set in stock.

Including shipping came to around £50

Threads been quiet for awhile. What has everyone been up to with their cars? I just finished mine today, ran it and it just doesn't have the top speed that I want. I am running a 17.5 on 2S and managed to fit a 22 pinion but it still isn't enough. Is this car basically maxed out, or do I have other options?
