Has anyone got any experience with this manufacturer or particular kit? Its called the Quanum vandal. Its a 1/10 scale buggy in kit form which is nice. It looks really good for the price at only £63 delivered but looks can be one thing. Having performance and quality is another. Also does it have the spares back up? No doubt they won't be as available as tamiyas spare parts are.

If anyone has had any experience with this model was the quality okay and how was the performance?

I was looking at these recently for racing and so was my father in law, the reviews on both hobbyking and external independent ones seem to be quite positive and parts seem cheap, with a number of good hopups available (Alu BB shocks, slipper clutch, CVD's). My main concern is as with everything Hobbyking is supply the car was showing out of stock last week when we checked as were a number of parts. HK seems like the only place to get them currently, some parts were only in the international warehouse which in my experience is a minimum of a 2 week wait for delivery. I would be more comfortable if other sellers had parts or places like JazRC who are cheap and ship fast. The same comments apply to the Basher BSR222. With that in mind he bought a Kyosho RB6 Ultima and I got a Schumacher Cougar SV for me and a Team C TR02 V2 for my boy.

It's a re-branded FTX Vantage ... same chassis, shocks etc ... I Love my Carnage which is also the same chassis just the Monster Truggy version. They are pretty tough and have very well priced spares and hop ups.

In the UK FTX is a brand of CML and spares have been easy to get, not that I've needed many. Modelsport UK has a good selection of bits for it.

Thanks for the info guys. It did seem like a decent buggy and hadn't heard of them before. Ive got other projects and a huge to buy list so I may get one in the future. Not in any rush though. Many tamiya I need to buy first. :)
