Hi

I've done a few modifications to my high lift Hilux over the last few weeks. I have been considering fitting some RC4WD soft red leaf springs but would like to hear opinions from anyone else who has fitted them before I buy some. I'm particularly interested to know how durable they are and if they make the vehicle sit much lower than standard springs.

Thanks

David

Hey Folks,

I bought these a few weeks after I got my hilift in '07. I flat out love them. I use and abuse my truck and it also has the light and sound kit installed, that makes it rather husky. For me, they completely changed the truck for the best. Articulation increases by just under 25mm. I recently added the jun fac setup and honestly wish I would have left it alone. Unless something has changed with the new red leafs, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I think they are fabulous and incredibly durable.

Sorry, should have mentioned that the ride height did not change considerably. I can show you LOTS of shots of my truck in action. I must say that the terrain I was driving on with the stock leafs was far too aggressive for them. With the soft rc4wds, it was amazing.

Thanks for the reply, do you have any links to pics or vids that I could see? My main concern is losing ground clearance under the gearbox.
