In the model or rc world, rat or worn look is the trend. And for the creator is not easy,

as least to me.

But in the real world, how many racers' vehicles are a rust bucket? Is all spit and shine...at least before the race.

I agree on the clean look of todays standards, but I was basing mine on the 1960s and 70s rally era that took place in other country's were rally racing was based on run what ya brung and had no mandate on clean rigs

Why oh why do some people keep making what would realistically be fiberglass panels look rusty ??????? It ruins the whole effect .

krazikev's video looks really good up until you see the bonnet (hood) - the texture is totally out of scale... apart from that I like it.

I was thinking the same thing as bromvw, the entire front end and the wings would be fibreglass on the real thing.

Just so ya all know this was based on a all metal vw bug, metal does rust guys and as far as the front end goes i like it and isnt that all that matters?

Krazikev .. there are tools on the reply menu that allow you to ad links to text... links to URL's (for vids and images) and several other options too ... easy to use once found.

To tell you the truth, i like the rat look. Is no different spending $500.00 on torn up,slashed, ripped up jeans by Armani, CK, etc..Is the effort that went in that matters to me.

Guys and Gals here can turn plastic into rust buckets shows skills i don't have.
