Newbie here ,great site been lurking here for a while and seems a friendly place . I've been attemping a scratch build using Vintage Clodbuster axles, making my own chassis ,links and the like . I've tried out the motors from my Gravel hounds (27t ) in the axles and they seem to run fine ,then i've tried my Tower Pro MG995 servo to see how the steering goes and they seem pretty weak considering their 15kg rating .ESC is a TEU 104 ,i thought at first the battery was goosed but it runs the motors under load really strong. Just wondering if anyone could kindly help out on any advice .

Thanks

Hi Logiesean, wellcome to the club.

Some other member can help you better than me, I've no experience with crawlers.

The wheels thats you see are the one's i'll be running ,not keen on the monster truck size of tyre combo .Never thought about beadlocks ,i doubt i'll need them running the 27t cans .

Hello and welcome! Great start to your project. I have seen the stick type chassis used with Clod axles in the past for a crawler as well. I don't have much info, but if you google Clod stick crawler, you should find some info. Good luck and looking forward to seeing more of your project.

If you haven't been there already, RCMT is the best place for that kind of info. Very knowledgeable, good folks over there.
