I was reading up on Kumamon history and found a video of the WR-02G bearing his likeness, when this video came up afterwards:

This person modified a Mini 4WD Aero Avante to accept a servo system, a receiver, an ESC, and LEDs, creating a radio-controlled 1:32 Aero Avante. The finished car weighs about 110 g, and is powered by a 3.7V 150 mAh battery pack that can be charged using a USB-mobile phone cord to a computer!

There have probably been quite a few Mini 4WD RC conversions, but this one struck me as particularly well-executed and attractive (for the most part - still cannot agree with the headlights, for example). As such, I found it worth sharing :)

Aoshima has some Mini 4WD models in their "Multi 4" series that have working steering which make the conversion to RC quite a bit easier. I have their Toyota Hilux and have been playing with the idea of an RC-conversion, but never got that far.
