Hi all just a quick question I currently run both my dt02 & dt03 with a 17 tooth pinion. Would there be a noticeable difference in top end speed if I changed to 19 tooth pinions.

Yes because the teeth dimension is big and two teeth makes make many difference but for all the speed you will gain you will loose acceleration.

And watch the motor temperatures. Higher pinion size means more stress on the motor which means more heat. The DT-02/03 gearbox does not have much airflow so it's easy to overheat motors. Search this forum for other threads discussing the problem and solutions.

If silver cans, on-road yes, off-road (especially on grass) not as much.As the extra drag will pull the top speed down.

It's a balancing act,for the price of pinions, buy one and try it.

I tried a 24 (if I remember right) on my df03,on road it was ok,off road it melted the tamyia battery connection together (which i had in my hand today, searching for something else, weirdly enough!)
