Gumtree: Dodgy Traders

Recommended Posts

Please stop using this forum to expose suspected dodgy traders on Gumtree

Gumtree is safest used for local/collection sales only, eBay should be used for mail-order - In their own words;
The number one thing to remember: Gumtree is all about being local.

Always meet with whoever you're dealing with face to face, which is an easy way to avoid any potential scams

Any posts 'outing' suspected rip-off merchants will be removed, as there's no way of confirming a seller is or isn't a scammer
If a seller insists on postage sales via gift payment only, then walk away

If an ad looks suspect, report it to Gumtree - they react quite quickly.
