Does anyone here know Fursty_Ferret ?

I won an auction last month for a Madcap... a car I've wanted for years. I even had to pay a little more for postage then originally requested but that aside I've now waited 5 days longer then the estimated delivery and have tried to contact him but I get no answer.

His first name is Andy ... just wanting to know where things are.

When in a hobby like this one, patience is important. A week isn't too much, I'm sure you'll receive that Mad Cap soon. And if not, well, you can always twist the guy's neck through the eBay system, which is completely partial to buyers.

Good luck, and hope you get the car soon. Oh, and when receiving the car don't forget to share pictures of it with us! ;)

I just checked my ebay stats thing as I recognised the name but its fursty_ferret74 ?, i purchased a Original Avante from him about two years back

looking back at the emails i purchased on 29th july and he didn't post until 7th of Aug, so seems he is a slow poster, but it arrived perfect (its my original Avante first edition in my showroom)

hope helps.

Mongoose .. it's been over 3 weeks :) ..

And I do hope it's just a delay thing, it's just not comforting that I've sent a few messages and have had no replies ...

Not that this will help you for this purchase, but I always send sellers a message asking them to let me know when they have posted my items just after I have paid..

I do this through the eBay message system, and also via the optional message in PayPal when sending a PayPal payment..

If I do not hear from them after a Day or two, I send them another message asking if they have posted my item..

If you paid via PayPal,I believe you have 45 days to dispute the payment. If it gets close to that, open a dispute.PayPal take the money back off the seller and keep hold of it until the dispute is settled.

If you have an estimated delivery date I think you can file a complaint 1 week after the date.

Be sure to file the complaint to put some pressure on the seller and to document your communication attempts should it come to a dispute.

I routinely file complaints in cases like this. 90% of the time the package arrives in the end and I close the complaint. But through showing eBay that I'm a serious buyer, I've contributed to never loosing a case nor getting a negative feedback. When I file the complaint I'm courteous and ask for detail about shipping to show my concern. I don't go into attack mode.
