I got this item locally for a good price and as I couldn't get the correct pulleys I needed this killed 2 birds with one stone.

my question is ,as this is a 'f' I have looked at the destructions and it says to put the torque splitter in the rear but I'm a little unsure about putting in the one way bearing. the way it looks like and the way I've put it in is with the text on the bearing away from the counter gear if that makes sense .basically if I turn the rear wheels forward I can drive the fronts and if I spin the rears backward there is no drive to the front is this correct?

As above its basically like having a one way unit installed. But with this setup the rear wheels will be over driving the fronts with the rear 17T pulley and the front 15T pulley. Basically giving 60% rear drive all the time and 40% front drive. Makes the car turn sharper, less understeer.

But with the one way under braking can be tricky as its rear wheel braking, so technically like slowing a real car with the handbrake, making it very easy to spin out on tight tracks etc. On long fast sweeping turns where not much braking is needed this setup works great and the front end is soo much easier to get it to go into the corner.

It's the other way around isn't it?

If the one-way is in the rear then the only braking force is done by the front, as the rear will effectively be free-wheeling?

In drifting setups you put the one way in the front, so as to make the brake effect like yanking on a handbrake and only effective on the rear wheels - good for tight circuits.

You can put it in the rear if you wish to do so. But it is meant for the front on the TA03F. Personally I always found a ball diff in the front and a gear diff with anti wear grease in the rear gives lovely handling for a TA03. Not a fan of one ways on a on road car.

a ball diff is something I think I need to get , I have a ta02 one spare but I may just wait and get a ta03 one. so im assuming I have put the one way bearing in the right way ?,I've used one ways in the past and wasn't really too impressed , I dropped a torque splitter in my ta01 racer and it was sweet ,changes the driving style for sure.

james , there is a sticker on the back of the packet saying to install the t/s in the rear what would be best, I just went with the rear but as the weather is not the best here atm I haven't been able to test.

I ran my splitter on the front for so long I don't even remember what it felt like having it in the rear. Either way, I think it's a great add on once you get used to it.

I understand how a torque splitter works but what I curious about is what difference is made by installing it in the front vs the rear?. currently it is in the rear and the track I intend on running on is tight so any advice would be great.
