The new Gold standard

Jerry (Pleiku68)was gracious enough to send me one of his gold plated tamiya wrenches. The pictures don't do it justice, these things got the bling.

Now I know just how nice his gold plated super champ looks.

I have one and wasn't going to use it, but according to Jerry the gold is thick enough to handle it. Would definitely recommend as an addition to the collection.... still can't bring myself to use it though.

yeah - I've also got one of the sweet gold plated Tamiya wrenches Jerry has made. His knowledge is great, and this is really reflected in the work he does on his cars and parts!

I can get myself to using it though, it will be for display only!

Yes,Jerry has certainly set the new "gold standard". I have used my gold plated wrench for a couple of months and can attest to its longevity and durability. Now I'm hooked and he is plating some other items for me. Can't wait-maybe start another "new program". Will it never end? Apparently not!!! After all these years there always seems to be something new to get excited about.

Well Jim I make all my plating solutions with holy water..So attach it to a rosary and you can build cars in church..But don't let sister Mary catch you..LOL Jerry
