Where to buy 27 MHz recievers?

Hello everyone,

i need to know where to buy 27MHz receivers.

All my transmitters except one (2,4 GHz HPI transmitter) are 27 MHz transmitters and i want to keep it that way because i'm to stupid to bind other 2,4 receivers to my 2,4 GHz transmitter and that's frustrating....

The old tech works fine for me and 1 year ago I got 6 pcs of 27 MHz recieveres from LRP for 5,- each, but today i did't find any old receivers to buy for that money.

Is it even possible to bind any 2,4 GHz receiver to any 2,4 GHz transmitter? (I would love a fail safe feature, but I got frustrated witch the new tech...)

If you have a local race club, ask around - most racers will probably give them away. I don't know if you have a local Craigslist-style classified site, but if you do, put up a "wanted" post there as well. I'm sure there are plenty of them sitting around unused in the bottom of tool boxes.

Unfortunately, with the 2.4ghz systems, you have to match the brand, and not only that, the same technology in a lot of cases (Futaba FASST won't work with FHSS, Spektrum DSM1 vs DSM2 vs DSM67300000 or whatever they're up to now). There are some "generic" receivers to work with specific systems, but I've never used them so I can't comment on them.

I have plenty of spare old 27MHz AM receivers sitting around that I could part with.... but they're all down in Australia!

Let me know if you can't find a good number closer, and I'll dig some out.
